I tried them all

| I tried Rembrandt before, and their product worked but it wasn't very good. The best product I have tried is Crest Whitestrips Classic. I haven't tried the premium but it really does work. One thing to look out for though, is how you place the strips on your teeth. If you don't press it against the cracks, you end up bleaching the front and then you have vertical lines in your mouth of unbleached yellow. |
IT WORKS...IT REALLY WORKS!

My son first bought these white strips six months ago, as, despite regular cleanings by the dentist, his teeth refused to look anything other than pale yellow. In desperation, he turned to these white strips. I was originally skeptical, but sure enough, after two weeks of usage, he had gleaming, pearly white teeth.
Next my daughter tried them, though I thought her teeth were white enough. Now she, too, has gleaming pearly white, movie star choppers. So, I decided to try it, as my teeth were leaning towards beige. Well, I, too, now sport gleaming white teeth, without having paid a dentist an exorbitant amount for whitening them.
The system is very easy. Twice a day, one applies a small piece of treated film to one's upper and lower teeth for about half an hour. One then removes the film and rinses. It is that simple. Two weeks later, one is left with teeth that practically glow in the dark, as this product really whitens and brightens one's teeth. This product is an excellent value, as it really works. |
My premature "one day" review

| I should probably wait for the full 7 days, but I thought I'd share my one day experience. The instructions say it's better not to use them "right after you brush your teeth," so this morning, I woke up, and put on the strips. Almost an hour later, I took them out, and I went into the bathroom and spit in the sink, because it's probably not good to swallow peroxide. My spit was dark colored. I thought "Am I bleeding?" And looked closer. No, it wasn't blood red. It was more of a coffee-dirt brown. I said to myself (in so many words), "what the heck is that crap?" Whoa. It must be the gunk that was coming off my teeth. I've never used whitening stuff before, so I guess I'm seeing 35 years of coffee and soda coming off. So I suppose it must really work. So, the moral of the story is, "When your dentist tries to sell you veneers for cosmetic reasons, try the easiest, cheapest solution first." Otherwise, you'll always wonder, "What if I tried those strips first?" |

I was a bit skeptical, but I gave'em a try. The 7-day ones. Easy to use and get used to, and they get great results.
Re: gum pain from contact with peroxide (mentioned in some of the other review here): I have friends who definitely had sore gums whem using this product, but they all were so happy with the results that the soreness did not cause them to diss the product. I personally felt no soreness whatsoever. This suggests that it just depends on individual gum tenderness.
They really do work well, with noticeable results in a mere 2-3 days. And they really do NOT cost $300-$600. My own dentist said in a moment of candor, that these over-the-counter products are actually pretty good. My experience certainly confirms that. |
Is it worth the money? Yes!

I used the original Crest White Strips and I'm very happy with the results. It *does* leave a funky taste in your mouth and when it's removed, it's really gross and tacky on the teeth. But if your willing to bypass all of that, it's worth all the yukiness ;). For the first week, I did have some sensitivity that lingered for awhile but it went away after the first week and it left my teeth really white! This is my second time using this (the strips reccomend using it every 6 months for the 'original') and I haven't been happier. One thing that Crest also has out is the 'Night Effects'. It's a paste you leave on overnight. Again, it's kinda weird having something that 'tacky' on the teeth overnight but I did see a difference after the 2 weeks.
It's really all about personal tastes and the people willing to tolerate the downsides of the Crest Whitening Systems. |
After 9 mos my teeth are still white!

I started using Crest Whitestrips last June 2005, of course I had the usual pain on my teeth, it was tolerable. The kind of pain you get when you had too much vinegar on your salad and it sort of leaves that weird feeling on your teeth afterwards, the acid being the culprit.
I religiously did this for 14 days and voila! White teeth!!!
The thing is I used the lower strips for my upper, coz I really wanted to see the difference afterwards. There is a huge difference. Silly, yet, astounding.
Of course I smile only baring my upper teeth (I dont know anyone who smiles showing both upper and lower teeth-and even if thats the case its not really obvious coz nobody looks at the upper teeth)and I ask people if theres a huge difference and they say yeah! I also stopped smoking but I remained drinking tea and cola but I prefer to use straws-just for prevention.
I wear pink lipstick, and I remember when I was in my teens I used to hate how my yellow teeth clashed w/ pink lipstick, but now its truly beauty pegeant material!!! :) Take care of your teeth guys. |

I've used this product before, and after a week, family & friends who didn't even know I used the stuff were complimenting my teeth and asking, "how come they're so white?!" I just bought another one and can't wait for the end results.
Downsides? It does taste awful and your teeth become sensitive but it's temporary. Be careful with those soups and ice cream! |

| Love, love Crest Whitestrips. Been using them for almost 2 years now, and I love when people ask" How do you keep your teeth so white?" Simple answer,Crest Whitestrips. I put them on after I shower and usually leave them on for a hour or so. Must try and buy. Kinda on the high side in price, but cheaper then going to the denist once a month for a good teeth whitening visit. 5 stars ***** |

| Crest Whitening Strips have been clinically proven to whiten teeth and from experience, I have to say they really do! Just two weeks and my teeth were shining and white. Its almost effortless and it gives you so much more self-confidence. Have you stopped smiling? Well it's time ti whiten up that smile and to show your teeth again. Its harmless and it worked wonders for me, all I can say is you have to try this. You have nothing to lose and a bright smile to gain. |
