I actually got the kit from my doctor to begin with, as I got the custom molded trays.
Within 2 weeks time of doing it for 45 min to a hour once in am and once in pm the shading on my teeth went from a 7 to a 2. The only problem I had I didn't put it in the exact spot on the bottom tray, therefore near my gumlines it is still yellow, however will do touch up and all will be good! Glad the touch-up kit is available via Amazon since the dentist is $200.
Yes when the bleach got onto my gums it did burn, but that is to do the high percentage of bleaching concontion that is used. After wiping it off, it never bothered me again.

| I have used the Day White Excel 3 for approximately two years off and on. It really does whiten your teeth. Please note that I had already purchased the customized trays from my dentist. The kit does not come with trays. |

| this whitener is great, it works in as little as two weeks!!! and for tips for no tooth pain/sensitivity, do it at night before bed, and use sensodyne toothpaste before application because it eliminates the pain it may cause to your teeth! IT WORKS SO WELL, trust me I used to hate whitening my teeth because it was painful, but now I can do it without any pain :) |

i got this from my dentist a few years back, and thought it was time to use it again. happy that i found it on amazon. I had my trays from 3 years ago, and this time just ordered the 9%.
at first i noticed my gums were stinging a bit - not nice. i read on the Discuss Dental web site that the teeth trays do not need to cover the gum line, mine did, so i trimmed them to just cover my teeth. problem solved.
regarding quantity, I'm getting 7 to 8 applications from one syringe. on the packet it says 3 applications per syringe. basically i only really needed one packet with three syringes not the two packets that i got.
i only put gel on the front facing side of the tray (don't need bleach on the back of my teeth). my trays cover all my teeth, i exclude the back two teeth from bleaching since my smile no matter how big never shows those teeth. maybe that's why i get so much use from a single syringe.
last note, the results are pretty quick, my teeth after 6 applications are noticeably whiter. By the end of this week, they'll be as white as this page :) |
